I like to describe myself as a film hack—making short films both for fun and semi-professionally. Back in 2007–2008, I created a stack of genre parodies with my kids, including a Star Wars fan film, though they were never publicized. Now that my kids are grown, maybe I’ll share one or two… someday.


In 2010, I set out to prove that with today’s video technology, anyone can make a feature film on a shoestring budget—if you have a few willing volunteers and a lot of enthusiasm.

The resulting feature was A Tale of Bloody Creek, which I later cut into a ten-episode web series. Here’s episode one:

Most of what I’ve done is informational videos for Parks Canada. Most of those are internal and not for the public, but a few years ago I did some promotional stuff for the Halifax Citadel. Here’s
